German Unity Transport Project 8

 Nuremberg – Erfurt – Halle/Leipzig – Berlin

Löberstraße railway bridge

Löberstraße connects the city's inner ring road with the B 4 road going south and the B 7 road going north. It is also an approach road to the A 4 and A 71 motorways. It is a two-land road with a pavement on either side. At the bridge it has a clear width of 16.50 metres and a headroom of 4.50 metres. The bridge has two single-span superstructures constructed from girders in concrete. The substructures are abutments with deep foundations on foundation piles. The railway bridge crosses the Halle-Guntershausen line at 108.980 kilometres at an angle of intersection of 74°. The bridge will continue to carry two tracks of the new Ebensfeld-Erfurt line in the future..

The construction work was carried out in two stages from 2005 to 2008.
