Noise protection measures

Upgrading a railway line entails interference with nature and the landscape. However, this can be reduced or compensated by a detailed landscape management plan. A fundamental entitlement to protection from noise was established at numerous locations. Noise barriers and passive noise abatement measures are being used to minimise noise.
