Conservation of birds of prey
The first of a total of 3 nest boxes for falcons will be installed on the northernmost pillar of Ilmtal bridge at Langewiesen. The nesting boxes allow kestrels and peregrine falcons to nest at a safe altitude without being disturbed. The 1700-m-long bridge therefore also contributes to the protection of these species. At the same time, the boxes have been installed in such a way that they do not hinder maintenance work.
