The planned two-track Ebensfeld-Erfurt line crosses the valley of the Weißenbrunner Bach stream east of the municipality of Untersiemau in Weißenbrunn am Forst in the administrative district of Coburg (Bavaria).

Between the sides of the valley to the north and south, the valley has a level floor with the Weißenbrunner Bach stream flowing through the northern part of it.
