Line construction on the southern approach to Halle

In the course of upgrading and renewing the southern approach to Halle, 11 sets of points, around 4 kilometres of track and four civil engineering structures (an overpass, two ramps and a railway bridge) are being constructed in the area from Halle Ammendorf station to Halle/Saale central station. These are for the new section of two-track line from the Saale-Elster Viaduct to Halle/Saale central station.
